I had an awesome experience in Wyoming. Both of my mustangs
did great.
Frank and Jesse both made it back to the top ten finals on Saturday.
Even though Frank was unrideable I still showed him in halter
and we placed 9th
Jesse did very well on Saturday with his freestyle round and we placed 8th
I was also pleased with the fact that i was the only female in
the competition
and i was also the only person to make it back to the finals with both of my
horses!!
Both of the mustangs were adopted to good homes
I would like to thank Shawn Peterson for adopting Frank and I wish you
all the luck with him, and hope I can see you riding him one day

On May 2, I traveled to Wheatland, Wyoming to pick up my two mustangs for the challenge.

Meet Frank and Jesse James!!!! Jesse is a 3 year old Sorrel
Gelding and Frank is a 4 year old Bay Gelding.
Both of these guys are very curious. And surprisingly calm.
Today I worked with Jesse. I managed to get him caught and
started to rub him down.
He wasn't too keen on getting close to me but once he caught my smell he came
around
rather quickly. He became so curious that he began trying to bite my arm but he
soon quit.
Here are a couple pics - Jesse's first touches along with his biting curiosity!!!
Frank was a lot easier to catch and halter than Jessie. This
is my second day working with him
He's a little more on guard than Jesse is but he's coming along.
Here are their first days being saddled. Jesse did very well -
no buck.
Frank I used a surcingle and he bucked but soon came out of it and is doing
great with it now.

Jesse enjoyed the attention I gave him while jumping on his
back and laying all over him!!
I began spraying water on him in preparation for fly spray and he was thirsty!!!
He preferred me spraying it in his mouth!!

Jesse's first ride went extremely well, he's very smart and learns fast
